Rhubarb Juice

Looking for a great mead/juice that you can simply make at home from your rhubarb?

Rhubarb has so many uses it is just a favourite around our house. I have tried to make so many of my own juices/beverages as possible. Control your ingredients … has become key in our household. This recipe is simple, fast, and delicious! Give it a try and I am sure you will agree.

Rhubarb Mead

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups rhubarb

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 9 raisins

  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Directions

  • Clean and discard root and leaf of rhubarb. Wash and cut into 1/2″ pieces.
  • Add all ingredients into a quart mason jar.Rhubarb Mead
  • Add water.
  • Let sit on your kitchen counter 3 days. Then move to refrigerator. Enjoy!

Notes

  • I have made this with different amounts of honey. To me it gets sweeter as it sits so I keep cutting back the honey amount to please what I like. Feel free to change this amount per your tastebuds.
